Small Groups are our primary method of discipleship here at Harbor Church. We meet every week for fellowship and conversation. If you love spending time with others, eating food, and talking about Jesus, then these are perfect for you!
Discipleship cannot happens best through meaningful relationships. Each gathering begins with an extended period of fellowship - having dinner, catching up on the week, laughing, and unwinding with each other after a long day. This is a time to "break the ice" and to develop a real relationship with those in your group.
Each week we explore how we've encountered God through our Scripture readings. Every Sunday, a new Core Reading Guide will be available. This will guide you and even help you learn how to read the Bible better. In our Small Groups, after the fellowship, we'll spend time sharing with each other the impact our devotions have had on us that week. This will be a great time to learn about God through each other!
Core: The Stories at the Center of Who We Are
We're in the midst of a year long series working through the foundational stories of the Bible. Each week begins with you, spending time reading the story and working through the reading guide. At Small Group, we'll spend time discussing the parts that impacted you, challenged you, or even left you with questions. On Sundays, Pastor Josh will follow with a sermon coming from a portion of that story. If you've ever found the Bible intimidating or feel like you just don't know enough, then this is for you.
